Now come on!

by TheBozzer @ 26.06.2007 - 10:34:56

I have to say, you Brits are a cynical bunch. I've been trying my best to give you some true tales and it seems many of you think I am just an imaginative story teller with a box full of writing tricks!  Now I'm going to give you all some time to have a think about your cynicism and if you can somehow get over it (there are self-help groups I'm told, though they mostly seem to be in Manchester, for some reason) then I will continue.

Otherwise, I will be forced to concentrate my writing on the good folks of Australia who know the truth when they read it. Honestly, I expected more from the land of Churchill, Samuel Pepys and Polly Toynbee. Frankly it's enough to put me off my Guardian.

You can't be a bona fide Guardian reader.

Anyone worth a peck of pickled peppers knows it's "The Grauniad

Manchester and self-help - a contradiction in terms. You've only got to visit The Trafford Centre ;)

Funny you should mention our Polly! I was looking at "Hard Work" yesterday and considering re-reading it. You may just have swayed the odds in her favour!

Sorry no takers for the Self-help groups. A bout of nosebleeds reported when 8 bloggers tried to pass the Watford Gap last weekend. Terrible stuff. Don't think it made the Guardian though.

I was always brought up to believe that Cynicism was one of the 754 deadly sins next to buying stale croissant, playing Barbara Dickson records after 7pm, wearing socks for more than one day in succession, not picking up dog poo in the park, (I could go on.... and usually do)
Don't jump ship or I'll bombard you with emoticons

You're just trying to frighten me. I want more Tales of Tom please, the one of him getting behind the counter in Woollies is still my favourite blog.
